I've been fairly quiet on my blog as of late - mostly because I've been busy with real life. Moving and stuff, as well as flying across the country, takes alot of time and effort.
Well, anyways, on to the topic of this blog post - the John McCain and Sarah Palin campaign - or as I like to better put it, debacle. I kinda ignored the first presidential debate since I really didn't have time to spend watching it, and I was more interested in McCain's choice of running mates, Sarah Palin.
If you haven't heard of Sarah Palin before now, consider yourself lucky. Those of us in the United States have had to endure her blabbering for a while now. She is the inexperienced gov. of Alaska who thinks that just because her home state is way on the other side of the pond from Russia, that she has foreign experience.
Let me share her experience and what she brings to the table if she becomes vice and even potentially as a full president:
- ...
- ...
- ...
Anyone else notice something wrong with that list? And no, I do not consider the fact she's a card carrying member of the NRA to be a qualification.
Family values? Oh yeah, can't get better then a pregnant unwed teenage daughter. Intregity? You bet! She used her power as gov. in an attempt to get her ex-brother-in-law fired, then later had the public safety commissioner who refused to fire him dismissed. Spending policies? Earmarked $442mil for the Bridge To Nowhere, perhaps the greatest example of pork barrel spending in history!
I mean, who could be better then a woman who just got her first passport in 2006 and left North America for the first time in 2007?
So, more fun is her recent claim that Barack Obama is friends with terrorists, which her supporters have, as expected, taken to heart, and now believe without question. As seen by this blog post and video clip, the GOP supporters aren't always the brightest bulbs in the box.
All I can say, is if McCain and Palin are elected, don't come crying to me when she declares war on Russia and we find our skin melting from our bodies.
